GREETINGS MERRY TRAVELERS!
You now have the good grace of gazing upon the official blog of the Egyptian Hockey League; typically referred to as the E.H.L!
I have sensed a great absence on this internet of websites concerning the E.H.L. After years of frustration, I have finally decided to take the responsibility of crafting one myself!
Expect tons of great action shots, player bios, and happenings from around the league!
To get you ready and super psyched for the action, here are some interesting factoids explaining the ancient Egyptian tradition of hockey!
"Ancient Egyptians played a game that is similar to our present-day hockey. Drawings on tombs at Beni Hassan in Menia Governorate show players holding bats made of long palm-tree branches, with a bent end similar to that of the hockey bat. The hockey ball was made of compressed papyrus fibers covered with two pieces of leather in the shape of a semicircle. The ball was dyed in two or more colors."
IT'S ABOUT TO GET REAL COOL IN HERE; LITERALLY!
AS THEY SAY IN EGYPT, "CHECK YA" ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ICE!
